What a way to end 2012 and start 2013

As most of you know this has been a busy holiday season, with some apperances and getting to know my new sisters  (Lauren, Jordan, Kylie, Ashtyn, and Jasmine)! I attended 3 parades in a month...What a busy girl I am? I enjoyed each and every bit of it.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday season. I am so blessed to have these 5 young ladies that I can call my sisters plus Ms. Jeanie and Ms. Anne (who I hold near and dear to my heart).

I cant wait till next year because I will be turning 9 on Jan 9, 2013 and my dear Andie is signing the national anthem at the Miss America prelims.....Have a wonderful time there Andie.


Also congrats to Phyllicia (my lovely sister who I hold near and dear to my heart) she was crowned Miss Hanover 2013. I am so proud of you Phe.....Guess that means I get to have mommy harrass you to come to my school....LOL! I miss you dearly!


Also I want to wish Rosemary good luck at Miss America. I know you will truely shine on that Miss America stage.


Also please remember that I am going to be participating in the March for Babies at CNU on April 28, 2013. I would love to have eveyone's support in this cause that is near and dear to my heart.

This past Saturday was the Miss Hampton Newport News Pageant. Hailey had a wonderful time. A few of her favorite girls were competing (Her Biggie-Shelby; also Jordan and the other Shelby). She is proud to have 5 new sisters (Lauren, Jordan, Kylie, Ashtyn, and Jasmine). Hailey is so excited to start this year off with a bang. She is raising money for Relay for Life and the March of Dimes. Congrats to all the winners and Hailey cant wait to get to know you.

Miss Virginia Week (I know its a bit late)

The end of June was such an wonderful week for Hailey. She had a blast at the Miss Virginia pageant. Hailey met Miss America 2010 and Ms Bobbie Eakes from AMC and BB.

Miss Virginia here I come

I am so excited to be attending Miss VA week. I wish Wed would get here soon. I get to see my 3 sisters and cheer them on and see my Shelby,Jordan, Dominick, Courtney, Ms. Penny, Ms. Anne, Ms. Jeanie, and Heather. Each I love so dearly. I am so excited and my mom still needs to pack for me. See you all in Roanoke.

Less than a month till Miss VA

Hailey is starting to pack for the Miss VA pageant already and we leave in less than 1 month. I am so excited for mt little girl. She has been surronded around so many great people that I am so thankful for. They all have been wonderful role models for Hailey. We have everything she needs for the pageant except 2 things...Since the princess tea party is a Mad hater theme. She wants a Mad Hater costume. Plus we have to create a purse to be auctioned off. I am thinking of a tote bag with the word "Dream" embrodered into it (hopefully I can figure that out...LOL) and put some tutu fabric on it with a flower...But what colors?

Relay for life 2012

Hailey attended the Relay for Life walk last night in Hampton and walked in honor of her Grandma and Grandpa. She got to see 2 of her pageant sisters, see both Shelbys (LOL), and meet Miss United States. Hailey had a blast and she was honored to help with this wonderful cause. Hailey even spoke to a little girl who is a cancer survivor and let her wear her sash and took a picture with her. Hailey enjoyed the walk and everyone who supported the cause.

Children's International festival and March of Dimes walk....Plus count down to Miss VA

Hailey attended the Children's Interrnational Festival in Hampton on April 21st with her sister Miss Hampton Newport News (Phyllicia). They both emceed on the Asian stage and they both did a wonderful job. I was so proud of them both. The girls walked around a bit and talk to people at the Festival. They even did some crats and learned about some countries.

On April 29, Hailey signed up to do the March of Dimes walk. Hailey was born 4 weeks early and we were blessed that she was healthy and well. Hailey invited a few girls to come walk with her. Her sister Miss Hampton Newport News Outstanding teen (Mikaela) attended and also Nik (Miss VA Outstanding Teen) and Jordan (Miss VA Outstanding Preteen). She was honored to have the girls attend and support this cause.

Hailey is so excited for June 28. Thats when we have to be in Roanoke for the Miss VA pageant.

Hailey's essay on who has inspired me the most for he entry for the Miss VA princess program

Well Hailey and her dad have been working on this essay to enter and when I read it I wanted to cry my eyes out. I never realized that I inspired my daughter. She told me it wasnt finished and I am in shock that an 8 yr old wrote this with her daddy's help.


"The person who has inspired me the most would have to be my mom. My mom has been through so much over the past two years. I don’t know how she stays composed and does all she does for our family. My mother lost both of her parents to cancer within less than eleven months of each other. She held herself together so my brother and I didn’t see that she was falling apart. My mother has always told me that I can achieve anything and she will support me in everything I do. My mother never had the support and inspiration that I have with her. My mom has achieved so much. She went to school full time, worked full time, and was a full time mom and wife and graduated from college with honors. She is going for her bachelors now and I am being supportive of her. My mom inspires me to become whatever I want and shoot for my dreams. I told my grandma before she passed away that I wanted to be Miss America one day and my mom is supportive of that and I know that my mom’s inspiration and support will help me achieve that goal one day. No goal or dream is out of reach as my mom says. That is why my mother is my biggest inspiration."

My Big Sister, Miss Hampton Newport News, came to visit at school

Hailey's Big Sister Phyllicia came to visit Hailey at school. Hailey had a blast with her Big sister. Phyllicia read to the class and even let the kids see her crown and sash. Hailey really needed her big sister to come. She is having issues with making friends. In Ohio everyone was her friend and she was very well liked but here it seems kids make fun of her because she is smart and a very caring little girl. I am bless that Hailey has Phyllicia, Bridig, and Milaela plus Ms. Jeannie and Ms. Anne.
